On November 1 and 2, at the Dal Basso Gallery in downtown DC, there will be community, conversation, and good times, anchored by the artwork of Seth Remsnyder.

His show, "A Reason for E'ry Time," will feature the output of his prolific past year, wherein his geometric abstractions extend from studies of plaid and chevron into riffs on patterns venerated by history--from Aztec and Mayan figures, to  graffiti motifs of the early 90s.

As ever, Seth uses the inspiration of pivotal moments in biblical narrative and American history to explore themes of manhood, familial relationships, and conscience.

The show will include early-stage sketches executed on found pages. ...And, I hear, some other exciting things, as well. But you'll have to be there, to find out.
